Sean Murphy and Eric Puls to attend
LaLiga Formation Methodology Level 3 Course

Hosted by Virginia NPL
July 29-31; South County High School, Lorton, Va.

LaLiga Formation Methodology courses outline the philosophy and methods used across LaLiga to train, develop and form some of the world’s top players. There are three levels, with Level 3 serving as an introduction to the comprehensive development strategies used by the top professional league in the world. Level 2 will serve as the intermediate stage, and Level 1 expands further on coaching education methods with time in Spain working directly with Spanish academies. Level 1 and 2 courses will be made available in 2017.

The 2½-day Level 3 course includes theory and practical sessions both on and off the field. Topics include: 1) Methodological Foundations of Training, 2) Structure of Training, 3) Development of the Training Model, 4) Training Tactical Concepts, 5) Training Technique, 6) System Development and Strategy and 7) Training Physical Elements.

The course also includes a one-year license for each attendee to Kimet Sport – the software for design, control, evaluation and periodization of training sessions used as for the course and by LaLiga academies, including Real Madrid C.F., FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla FC.

Follow-up webinars are also included post-course for continued learning. Completion of these webinars is required for advancement to Level 2 courses.

Eric Puls named Director of RAGE SC Girls Program

Eric Puls, RAGE SC Technical Director, has been named Director of the RAGE SC Girls Program. Eric will work hand in hand with the coaches, players and parents on the girls side of the program and will directly oversee the development process of all the girls teams at RAGE SC. All coaches of girls teams at RAGE SC will report directly to Eric Puls with all their matters. Eric Puls commented on the appointment. "With the recent growth of RAGE SC I believe the club felt it was important to evolve further by creating a Boys and Girls Director which I believe is a great idea and better way to manage the club growth. I think my appointment as Director of the Girls Program is a direct result of the success I've had in recent history by winning state cup titles and major national level tournaments on the Girls side. I believe my success of placing female soccer players at the D1, 2, 3 college levels and having my finger on the pulse on the girls side is a further factor in the appointment. This past year alone we were able to place our U12-18 girls teams in the top tournament/showcase events and advancing to semi finals or finals of those events. We are not satisfied and with a plan of action will have teams winning those events in the next year." The goal of RAGE SC is to create a winning tradition and more importantly an attractive style of play for all to be proud of on the girls side by having Eric's focus purely on the girls program.  If you have a daughter interested in playing for RAGE SC contact Eric Puls.

Sean Murphy named Director of RAGE SC Boys Program

Sean Murphy, RAGE SC Academy Director, has been named Director of the Boys Program. Sean will work hand in hand with the coaches, players and parents on the boys side of the program and will directly oversee the development process of all the boys teams at RAGE SC. All coaches of boys teams at RAGE SC will report directly to Sean Murphy with all their matters. Sean Murphy commented on the appointment. "In the last year RAGE SC has seen a tremendous amount of growth but more importantly that growth has been in talent. Unlike some other clubs where coaches are in charge of 4-5 teams we have been in a position of luxury by having coaches mainly coaching 1-2 teams. With well close to 30 teams RAGE SC boasts the largest coaching staff with the most licensed and experienced youth coaches. By making the investment in having more coaches and participating in the best tournaments it was decided the time was right for the creation of a Director position for both the Boys and Girls side. I have worked hand in hand with our boys coaches the last few years and we have seen a tremendous amount of growth in talent on the boys side and that was seen at the tryouts this past April." Sean has established a tradition/reputation of continued growth  at RAGE SC  and he will be a great resource on the boys side to direct the coaches and develop the boys teams further. If you have a son interested in playing for RAGE SC contact Sean Murphy.

RAGE Soccer Club; the most successful and largest youth premier club in the area had a record number 450 players at tryouts this past month. Not only were the numbers a record but so was the talent. We are looking at having one of the most exciting years ever moving into the 2016/2017 season. However, with other clubs still holding tryouts, etc RAGE SC still has room for players looking for a premier club. The Rage Soccer Club is still holding tryouts for the following birth year girls age groups U11 (2006), U12 (2005), U13 (2004). If you are in a different birth year than listed and looking for a team to tryout for please contact us. Multiple teams are forming in all the age groups.
We still have openings on our top teams as well and typically have been accepted to the top tournaments in Region 1.
If interested please contact
Eric Puls to schedule a tryout.
