Background:
Ged currently holds his USSF National "B" License and and has worked alongside some top coaches during his soccer career. Before arriving in Reading, PA, Quinn spent 3years at Lenoir Rhyne University, two years as a player and one as the Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach. Ged received numerous accolades during his playing years at Lenoir-Rhyne including being named the South Atlantic Conference MVP as well as earning NCAA All American honors in 2006 while captaining the team to a record breaking 19-1-1 season and its first Conference Title. Ged graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in 2007 with his Master’s in Business Administration.
Quinn, a native of Jarrow, England, is a product of the Sunderland AFC Youth Academy of the English Premier League. After graduating from the program he played semi-professional soccer in England for 5years before obtaining a full scholarship to attend Lenoir Rhyne University. Ged also has playing experience with the New Orleans Jesters in the USL and is currently in his fourth season as a player/assistant coach with Reading United AC – the minor league affiliate of the Philadelphia Union (MLS). In his four seasons with Reading they have reached the playoffs each season, the final four twice and he has had the pleasure of coaching numerous players who have moved onto play in both the MLS and professionally overseas.
Ged is currently utilizing the skills he learned while completing his MBA and is responsible for all Operations within the Rage Soccer Club. This includes the organization of the Rage Summer Camps, Futsal Leagues, Winter Academy, Field Scheduling, DDP and Referee Assigning. Ged also coaches numerous teams within the Rage and will continue to oversee training sessions and games for all age groups throughout the season.
