The Rage SC is proud to be a part of the new Director’s Development Program beginning with the

U9 Boy’s and Girl’s age groups this coming fall season.

We are very excited to be a part of this joint venture of great, like-minded Clubs;

Nether Providence AA, Spirit United, West Chester United, West Mont United, and YMS.

In an effort to create an improved learning, training, and playing environment for our youngest players,

we feel we have developed a program that will promote and encourage technical development

and creativity that will foster a true love of the game.  Removing the pressure of the win-at-all-costs mentality,

so that players no longer have a fear of failure when playing will encorage a greater level of individual freedom.

Rage SC and Body Zone have formed a partnership for the upcoming 3v3 winter Futsal league.

  Individual players are invited to participate in this exciting 10-week program that will focus on all of the skills necessary to play Futsal; high-paced and high-scoring, in a touchline format. Players will refine their ball control and passing skills as they earn individual points throughout the session. No coaching, no referees, different teammates every week, and a focus on fun highlight this great program.

The league begins January 7th. It is open to boys and girls U14 and under.

WHAT IS FUTSAL

Futsal is soccer played with a smaller, heavier ball, where players develop ball control, pin-point passing, and quick decision-making skills. A smaller playing environment encourages creativity by constantly placing players in demanding, decision-making situations; a major reason why Futsal is one of the finest teachers of the game. World Class players such as Ronaldinho and Robinho credit much of their professional successes to playing Futsal at a young age!

BENEFITS OF PLAYING FUTSAL

• The heavier smaller futsal ball is conditioned to improve shooting, passing, and ball control skills.
• Playing environment encourages individual creativity and flare.
• Playing within touchlines forces players without the ball to position and anticipate as they should in the outdoor game.

By winning the USYSA President’s State Cup, Region I tournament, and competing for the

National Championship in Des Moines, IA, the team displayed great character and perseverance while representing

the Rage Soccer Club, Eastern Pennsylvania, and our entire Region.

Finals Results Day by Day:

Day 1 Results

Des Moines, IA, The Rage U14 Girl’s began their quest for the President’s Cup National Title

with a 0-0 draw against Tri-State Premier, OH (Region II), in the first round of group play.

Although the girl’s played well enough to win, they were unable to capitalize on their scoring opportunities.

Next up; United Futbol Club White, SoCal (Region IV) who beat LAFC Houstonians, TX (Region III) 5-0 today.

Day 2 Results

In the second round of group play, the Rage U14 Girl’s were beaten 4-1 by United Futbol Cub, SoCal (Region IV).

The team struggled with the speed of UFC for most of the game and found a hard time getting into any type of rhythm.

Coach Angstadt is looking ahead to a better performance in tomorrow’s match-up against

LAFC Houstonians, TX (Region III) who fell, 1-0, to Tri State Premier, OH (Region II).

Day 3 Results

In the 3rd round of group play, the Rage U14 Girl’s overwhelm the LAFC Houstonians, TX (Region III) 3-1.

The team got off to a strong start early in the game off a goal from Kelsey Sisko and never looked back.

They finished the preliminary round with a record of 1-1-1, the same as Tri State Premier whom they tied in the first game 0-0.

Unfortunately, the team will not advance to the National Championship match due to goal differential.

In the other match today, United Futbol Club, SoCal (Region IV), who rested many of their starters

since they had already advanced to the Final, beat Tri State Premier, OH (Region II) 2-1.

The girl’s will play LAFC Houstonians again on Sunday for 3rd place.

Day 4 Results

In the final match of the weekend to determine 3rd place, the Rage U14 Girl’s fell short, losing 4-1, to the LAFC Houstonians, TX (Region III). A day after beating LAFC, 3-1, the girls just ran out of steam.  They fought all weekend with only two substitutes and by the final game of the tournament they just couldn’t see there way through.

United Futbol Club, SoCal (Region IV) won the Presdient’s Cup National Championship,

beating Tri-State Premeir, OH (Region II) 1-0 in the final.
